Abstract: The geology of the Chatham Islands is presented. The Chatham Islands lie in the south Pacific Ocean, east of the South Island of New Zealand and consist of two main islands - Chatham and Pitt - and several small islands and rocks. The description of two formations - Moorland peat and Waihi peat are given.
