Oborn, L.E. 1974 Seismic phenomena and engineering geology. Lower Hutt: New Zealand Geological Survey. New Zealand Geological Survey report EG 183 41 p.

Abstract: This paper presents an engineering geological approach to the available current literature on active faulting and natural and man-induced earthquakes, their relation, and their effects on ground motion. The assessment and zoning of earthquake and active fault risk, and the formulation of design earthquake parameters are discussed. Brief mention is made of earthquake prediction. (auth)
