Crafar, W.M. 1972 Report on controlling lake levels in the Rotorua district and geological report on proposed control structure sites. Lower Hutt: New Zealand Geological Survey. N.Z.G.S. report EG 98 10 p.
Abstract: This report summarises the effects of present high lake levels in the Rotorua district, and the geology of areas where structures, either tunnel, pipeline or weir, are proposed to control lake levels. Geology is interpreted from outcrops and road cuttings. A locality plan showing the sites is attached. Engineering information has been gleened from secondhand sources because a report for the Catchment Commission on this aspect was confidential and could not be readily obtained. (auth)
