Coleman, A.C. 1981 Geological map of New Zealand 1:63,360 pts. sheets S18, S19, S25 & S26 Wangapeka. Wellington: Department of Scientific and Industrial Research. Geological map of New Zealand 1:63,360 S18, S19, S25 & S26 1 fold. map + 1 booklet

Abstract: This sheet, covering about 1300 sq. km., is one of a series of geological maps of northwest Nelson, and is based on fieldwork done during 1972-76. The area is largely steep, mountainous, bush-clad country with open snowgrass tops above 1375 m, and numerous cirques and U-shaped valleys. The mountains in the centre of the sheet are largely composed of lower Paleozoic sediments. They are subdivided into Western, Central, and Eastern Sedimentary Belts, separated by major tectonic breaks represented by Anatoki Thrust in the west and Devil River Fault in the east
