Wodzicki, A.; Weissberg, B.G. 1982 The Maungaparerua sulphide deposit near Kerikeri, North Auckland. Lower Hutt: New Zealand Geological Survey. Report NZGS 105 11 p.

Abstract: The Maungaparerua sulphide prospect near Kerikeri, North Auckland, was explored during 1969-1972 by 39 drillholes to depths of up to 245 m, and about 2600 m of core was recovered for study. The sub-surface geology and the hydrothermal alteration of these rocks, based on these cores, are briefly described. Precious and base metal values were found to be too low to be of economic interest, and prospecting was discontinued in 1972.
