Hoskins, R.H. 1982 Stages of the New Zealand marine Cenozoic : a synopsis. [s.l.]: [s.n.]. Report NZGS 107 74 p.
Abstract: New Zealand has an exceedingly thick, continuous and widely distributed succession of Cenozoic sediments which make it an excellent area to study temperate faunal and floral changes. The juxtaposition of varied lithologies permits an integrated study of many different fossil groups and the preferred correlation unit that has been derived from studies of the New Zealand Cenozoic is the stage.
