Moore, P.R. 1975 The limestone resources of Wairarapa. Lower Hutt: New Zealand Geological Survey. Report NZGS 73 35 p.

Abstract: The area covered by this report can be vaguely described as southern Wairarapa, the northern boundary being taken as an east-west line through the township of Eketahuna. The limestone resources of northern Wairarapa will be covered in a subsequent report. The purpose of the survey is to outline the distribution of the various limestones and assess their quality and potential as an aid to future development of this important resource. Present use of limestone is almost entirely agricultural, but there are potential uses for cement, roading, protection work, and building.
