Abstract: The Bobs Cove Beds comprise a sequence of marine sediments of Landon age preserved as discontinuous slivers along the Moonlight Fault and other major faults in the Lake Wakatipu district of north-west Otago. A comprehensive study of the Bobs Cove Beds, their relationship to the Moonlight Fault, and a review of previous literature has just been published (Turnbull et al., 1975). This NZGS report describes the petrography of the Bobs Cove Beds, both at the type locality and elsewhere, and also lists all palaeontological data from the Bobs Cove Beds. It is intended as a supplement to Turnbull et al. (1975) and should be read in conjunction with that paper.
