Evison, F.F.; Reilly, W.I. 1954 Convergence in Dobson and Wallsend State Coal Mines: March - November 1953. : . Report / Geophysics Division 13 6p

Abstract: Convergence recorders of the standard British type have been introduced in the Dobson & Wallsend State Coal Mines. Both sudden and steady convergences have been recorded at various points in both mines. A limited correlation has been found between sudden convergences and the disturbances known as ''bumps''. In the Wallsend mine convergence has been observed near pillar extraction operations and related at one point to a fall of roof. An example of convergence near developing board-and-pillar operations has been examined in the Dobson mine (auth)
