Allis, R.G.; Thompson, G.E.K. 1979 Thermal characteristics of the downhole heat exchanger at Tauhara College. [s.l.]: [s.n.]. Report / Geophysics Division 147 13 p.

Abstract: Tests on the downhole heat exchanger (DHE) installed at Tauhara College show that its steady-state heat output is about 10-15 kW. The DHE is working far below its maximum output, and could supply about four times the number of radiators fitted at present. It is recommended that further tests on other holes around the school be made before a geothermal heating system is installed
