De Vel, O.Y. 1984 Development of a software package for the determination of automatic non-surface-consistent static corrections: application to the New Zealand southern Taranaki graben. : . Report / Geophysics Division 199 32 p.

Abstract: A flexible software package for the automatic determination of non-surface-consistent static corrections was developed. The package enables the geophysicist to build a model from a given stacked seismic section, apply multiple time windows over this section, and crosscorrelate the section with the model. The `best' non-surface-consistent section is obtained by optimising a set of given parameters. Data from the New Zealand Southern Taranaki Graben were used to evaluate the software. The software enhances events with a low signal to noise ratio and improves lateral continuity when the section has two or more distinct time zones
