Beavan, R.J. 1995 Kinematics of the New Zealand plate boundary : field report on the 1995 GPS survey of the Christchurch to Hokitika network . Lower Hutt: Institute of Geological & Nuclear Sciences Institute of Geological & Nuclear Sciences science report 95/15 37 p.

Abstract: During the first two weeks of February 1995 the Christchurch to Hokitika GPS network was remeasured. The network was established in December 1992 (Williams, 1993; Pearson et al., 1995) and consists of measurements at stations of the 1978 Christchurch-Hokitika EDS network, at a number of roadside benchmarks, and at a few points newly established in 1992. The network was partially reoccupied in July 1994 following the June 1994 Arthur’s Pass earthquake (Arnadottir et al., 1995), but the February 1995 measurements represent the first complete survey of the network since 1992. In addition to resurveying the 1992 points, several new points were installed, and GPS ties were measured at several sites where two points Iinthe same vicinity had been used in historical surveys, but for which no good tie existed.
