Adams, C.J.; Graham, I.J. 2000 K-Ar and Rb-Sr age determinations relating to gold and tungsten mineralisation in the Otago Schist. Lower Hutt: Institute of Geological & Nuclear Sciences. Institute of Geological & Nuclear Sciences science report 2000/05 16 p.

Abstract: Based on previously published and un-published K-Ar and Rb-Sr geological age determinations, most of the gold-tungsten deposits in the Otago Schist were formed in the Early Cretaceous (c. 100-145 Ma) after regional metamorphism, at a late stage in the uplift and cooling history of the Schist. The mineralisation is thus probably related to local tectonic events associated with uplift kinematics. (auth)
