Matheson, D.W. 2001 Kinematics of the New Zealand plate boundary : field report on the 2001 GPS survey of the Raukumara Peninsula/East Cape network (EC2001) . Lower Hutt: Institute of Geological & Nuclear Sciences. Institute of Geological & Nuclear Sciences science report 2001/12 57 p.

Abstract: Victoria University of Wellington (VUW) with some assistance from the Department of Lands and Survey (DoSLI) collected Global Positioning System (GPS) data in 1995 at various geodetic sites in the Raukaumara Peninsula/East Cape region. VUW partially resurveyed the network in 1997. Arnadottir et al. [1999] used the 1995 GPS data and earlier geodetic surveys to study the ongoing tectonic deformation of the region. During a two-week period in January 2001 the Institute of Geological and Nuclear Sciences (GNS) undertook the “EC2001” campaign in order to repeat observations at all existing sites in the Raukumara Peninsula network, as well as adding some new sites.
