Matheson, D.W.; Kennedy, D.B. 2001 Kinematics of the New Zealand plate boundary : field report on the 2001 GPS survey of the Hawkes Bay network (HAWK2001) . Lower Hutt: Institute of Geological & Nuclear Sciences. Institute of Geological & Nuclear Sciences science report 2001/16 50 p.

Abstract: The Institute of Geological and Nuclear Sciences (GNS) has collected Global Positioning System (GPS) data since 1997 at various geodetic sites in the Hawkes Bay region, for the purpose of studying ongoing tectonic deformation, supplemented by one Land Information New Zealand (LINZ) survey (Rowe, 1995). No survey report was prepared for the GNS 1997 survey. During a three-week period over March 2001 the HAWK2001 campaign repeated observations at stations in the Hawkes Bay network for the second time, the previous two surveys being 1995(LINZ) and 1997(GNS). This report documents the survey, describing the logistics of the campaign and identifying the stations occupied and the data collected. (auth)
