Abstract: During October and November 2002 multichannel seismic data were acquired along four profiles in Southern McMurdo Sound, Antarctica. The profiles formed part of ongoing site surveying at proposed drill sites of the ANDRILL science programme and consisted of two ca. 10 km lines on the Windless Bight region, McMurdo Ice Shelf and two ca. 10 km lines on the Southern McMurdo Ice Shelf. Antarctica New Zealand provided logistical support, with personnel from the UK, USA and New Zealand participating in the planning and acquisition. The following details the activities and operations of the seismic team as well as presenting an overview of the data acquired. (auth)
