Barker, P.R.; Stephenson, W.R. 2003 Wainuiomata ''local effects'' seismograph network : microtremor and geotechnical investigations . Lower Hutt: Institute of Geological & Nuclear Sciences. Institute of Geological & Nuclear Sciences science report 2003/21 53 p.

Abstract: The western catchment of the Wainuiomata River upstream of Stanley St, is a residential area built on lake, swamp and alluvial deposits. In order to establish suitable locations for instruments of a temporary local seismograph network on these soft soils, various surface and subsurface measurements were undertaken. These were microtremor measurement and analysis, Cone Penetration Tests (CPT) and Seismic Cone Penetration Test (SCPT). (auth)
