Abstract: During November/December 2005, 43 kilometres of multichannel seismic data were acquired along five profiles in southern McMurdo Sound, Antarctica. The profiles formed part of ongoing site surveying at proposed drill sites of the ANDRILL science programme and consisted of three lines on the Windless Bight region, McMurdo Ice Shelf (33 km in total) and two lines on the Southern McMurdo Ice Shelf (10 km). Antarctica New Zealand provided logistical support, with personnel from the UK and New Zealand participating in the planning and acquisition. The following details the activities and operations of the seismic team and presents an overview of the data acquired. (auth)
