Palmer, N.G.; Beavan, R.J.; Matheson, D.W. 2006 Kinematics of the New Zealand plate boundary : field report on GPS surveys of the Fiordland/Southland network between 2003 and 2005 (FIOR2003, FIOR2003A, FIOR2004 & FIOR2005). Lower Hutt, N.Z.: GNS Science. GNS Science report 2006/21 52 p.

Abstract: The first comprehensive GPS survey within the Fiordland region was completed in 2001 by the Otago University School of Surveying (OUSD) and the Institute of Geological and Nuclear Sciences (GNS) (Now GNS Science). This report describes the small-scale field surveys undertaken by GNS and OU between the 2001 survey and the next complete resurvey in 2006. These include a midwinter survey completed shortly after the August 2003 Fiordland earthquake that was designed to measure the co-seismic deformation caused by the earthquake, and subsequent surveys to improve the co-seismic data set and to detect any possible post-seismic deformation.
