Page, M.J. 2008 A bibliography of ''rainfall-induced'' landslide studies in New Zealand. Lower Hutt, N.Z.: GNS Science. GNS Science report 2008/08 19 p. + 1 CD

Abstract: This bibliography was prepared for GNS Science and Landcare Research, to provide access to information that will contribute to the development of rainfall-induced landslide forecasting models. GNS Science, as part of it’s commitment to natural hazards, seeks to improve readiness and response activities to landslide events, and to improve mitigation strategies. Landcare Research seeks to model the impact of landsliding on resource and ecosystem sustainability. The references listed have been principally selected for the information they provide on landslide susceptibility, rainfall thresholds, landslide response (sediment generation and delivery), and associated modelling approaches. Each reference is also listed in a Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet. This provides a summary of each reference under the following headings: ID number, author and date, region, study area, erosion terrain, erosion processes, land use/vegetation, purpose of study, methodology, erosion summary, comments, and key words. A CD of the Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet accompanies this report. (auth)
