Destegul, U.; McVerry, G.H. 2008 Quick guide to Shake2000. Lower Hutt, N.Z.: GNS Science. GNS Science report 2008/26 23 p.
Abstract: SHAKE is one of the earliest and most successful codes for conducting equivalent linear seismic response analyses for horizontally layered soil deposits. It uses one-dimensional shear wave propagation theory combined with geotechnical material properties and selected seismic input motions to determine the expected ground shaking. This quick guide aims to provide useful information to beginner users of the code. It is intended for other GNS users, and is based on experiences with SHAKE gained from scientific studies and commercial projects performed by the authors in recent years. (auth)
