Abstract: GNS Science (GNS) is currently in charge of the continuation and expansion of the National Groundwater Monitoring Programme (NGMP), which is operated in collaboration with regional authorities across all of New Zealand. One of the science tasks associated with the NGMP is to delineate the groundwater capture zone at each NGMP site. Delineation of capture zones requires some information about the hydraulic properties of aquifers, typically obtained by aquifer tests. As part of its contribution to the NGMP, GNS has recently completed an update of its groundwater database to include available aquifer test data from NGMP wells and other wells within each region, based on data requested and received from regional authorities. All of the aquifer test data were compiled in a consistent format in a single spreadsheet, then loaded into the GNS groundwater database. This report summarises the data collected and documents the compilation procedure followed. (auth)
