Abstract: Legacy geological and geochemical data have been compiled to enable 3D modelling of the epithermal mineralisation at the former Golden Cross Au-Ag mine in the Coromandel Peninsula, New Zealand. A 3D geological model was assembled from digitised sections and plans. Preliminary analyses of drill hole assay data shows that Au (n = 74,115) and Ag (n = 74,566) exhibit strong correlation (r = 0.70). The Au/Ag ratio has a mean of 0.25. As (n = 9797) and Sb (n = 9649) have a high correlation (r = 0.69), but are poorly correlated with Au and Ag at the detailed 1 m resolution of the drill hole samples. Cu (n=2873), Pb (n=2866) and Zn (n=2869) are present at low levels and their data have low contrast. (auth)
