Ancelet, T. 2016 Air quality sensors review. Lower Hutt, N.Z.: GNS Science. GNS Science report 2016/14 ii, 10 p.
Abstract: This report provides an overview of sensor technologies that are currently available and evaluates potential gaps in sensor development. Particular attention has been focused on sensors for air quality. While many sensors exist for measuring different gaseous species, there are a lack of sensors available for directly measuring particulate matter (PM) mass. Along the same lines, no technologies currently exist for speciating PM, which could transform PM monitoring and be of wide interest to regulatory authorities and researchers around the world. Sensors for specific hazardous air pollutants would also be of wide interest internationally, but these types of sensors have experienced limited development to date. (auth)
