Hart, R.J.A.; Palmer, N.G. 2019 Field report on GNSS surveys of the Top of the South Island Network in 2018 (TOPS2018). Lower Hutt, N.Z.: GNS Science. GNS Science report 2019/20. 90 p.; doi: 10.21420/P0CY-D396

Abstract:

During a 28-day period between January and April 2018, a combined team from GNS Science and Land Information New Zealand re-measured a network of 108 geodetic survey stations using Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) methods throughout the Upper South Island of New Zealand. This Top of the South Island campaign (TOPS2018) covers an area from Cheviot in the south to Cape Farewell in the north and is intended to repeat previous comprehensive GNSS surveys of the network following the Kaikoura 2016 earthquake. This report documents the field operations of the TOPS2018 resurvey. It describes the logistics of the campaign, the sites occupied, and the data collected. (auth)
