Abstract
The fossil Cirripedes of New Zealand have attracted very little attention from palaeontologists, and in consequence their history is a very limited one. For the most part the specimens forming the subject of this work are from the collection of the Geological Survey of New Zealand. In most cases they were in a rough state and considerable time has been spent in cleaning and developing them, an in searching the matrix for additional valves. Altogether the material numbers well over three hundred specimens, about one-half belonging to the Lepadomorph, or stalked barnacles, and the remainder to the Balanomorph, or acorn barnacles.
