Abstract: Water well data, sheet S76/7-8 Belfast-Styx is one of three 1:25,000 sheets which together make up the 1:63,360 sheet S76 Kaiapoi. This report covers the sheet S76/7-8 Belfast-Styx area, and is accompanied by a 1:25,000 map showing surface geology and well locations, seven cross sections made up of well logs graphically drawn to illustrate subsurface lithologies and stratigraphy, a table listing data from wells, written well logs for wells not included in the cross sections, a selection of chemical analyses of water samples from wells, and graphs of water levels from wells measured regularly. The geology of this sheet and of the remainder of sheet S76 to the north is described by Brown, L.J. 1973 Sheet S76 Kaiapoi, (1st edition), Geological map of New Zealand, 1:63,360.
