Feldmann, R.M.; Keyes, I.W. 1992 Systematic and stratigraphic review with catalogue and locality index of the Mesozoic and Cenozoic decapod crustacea of New Zealand. Lower Hutt: DSIR Geology and Geophysics. Record / New Zealand Geological Survey 45 73 p.

Abstract: This publication provides an up to date systematic and stratigraphic summary of the fossil decapod crustacean fauna of New Zealand. It is based on a complete review of all previously published records of specimens All specimens have been reexamined and all locality data rechecked. All additional specimens held in New Zealand institutional collections as well as some specimens in private collections have been examined and identified and records from recent field collecting have been included. The main data are presented in the form of a detailed Locality Record Index that lists over 230 known fossil localities that have been produced identifiable crustacean remains. From this index database, a systematic list of the fauna, a stratigraphic time distribution of the fauna and a cross reference of taxa to geographic collection localities is presented. The New Zealand decapod crustacean fauna as it is presently known from this work includes material from late Triassic to Cenozoic age and is represented by 81 species-level taxa of which 39 are named species, organised under 40 genera, within 21 families.
