The Taiwan-Japan-New Zealand Seismic Hazard Assessment Meeting is an annual event aimed at sharing research and finding collaboration opportunities between these three tectonically similar countries.
The topics discussed have a focus on reducing the risk of earthquake disasters.
Aotearoa New Zealand will be holding the 2026 Taiwan-Japan-New Zealand Seismic Hazard Assessment meeting at the Te Wharewaka o Pōneke Function Centre.
Pōneke / Wellington is the capital city of Aotearoa New Zealan located close to several major crustal faults as well as the active Hikurangi subduction margin on the lower North Island.
