Hull, A.G. 1979 Porangahau tilt and strain monitoring pattern site report. Lower Hutt: New Zealand Geological Survey. New Zealand Geological Survey report EDS 48 14 p.

Abstract: The Porangahau tilt and strain monitoring pattern (SMP) is situated in southern Hawkes Bay beside the Te Uri Stream, approximately 10 km west of Porangahau township (Fig 1). It is designed to monitor both vertical and horizontal deformation, and forms part of a developing network throughout New Zealand. The site was installed in March 1979 with an initial survey planned for June 1979. Initially, surveying will be at 3 monthly intervals for the inner bench marks and horizontal control marks. At 6 monthly intervals the outer bench marks will be levelled. Later, subsequent survey interval will be revised, depending upon observation of normal or abnormal deformation (auth)
