Mansergh, G.D. 1972 Tekapo-Pukaki canal, Maryburn crossing: interim report. Lower Hutt: New Zealand Geological Survey. New Zealand Geological Survey report EG 127 41 p.
Abstract: The Tekapo-Pukaki canal is to cross the Maryburn Stream on a culvert, and an area between the stream and Mt McDonald on an embarkment up to 140 ft high. This report covers the area between canal footages 59000 and 63000. Seven Benoto shafts and eight boreholes have been put down in the area at the time of writing, an aerial photo analysis carried out and a resistivity survey conducted. Approximate results only have been calculated from the resistivity survey to date. Copies of S40, S42, S43, and S45 and BH170, BH172, BH173, BH175, BH176, Bh177, BH178 and BH179 are included in this report, together with a plan of the area and a section along the canal showing the vertical and horizontal distribution of the geological units recognised. S39, S41 and S44 were not logged by Geological Survey. S44 was dug as a repeat of BH175 and BH177 is an extension of S43. (auth)
