Mansergh, G.D. 1973 Tekapo-Pukaki canal, S100: Maryburn to Tekapo B powerhouse. Lower Hutt: New Zealand Geological Survey. New Zealand Geological Survey report EG 153 9 p.

Abstract: This report describes the geology and materials of the Tekapo-Pukaki canal between Maryburn (Footage 62,000) and the stilling basin at the head of the Tekapo B penstocks. Evidence is taken from three Benoto shafts S 37, 39 and 40, nine percussion holes, BH 30, 125,152, 153, 155, 156, 176 and 180, and two seismic lines, AC and AB. Further interpretation has been based on aerial photographs and ground survey. The data for shafts S39 and 40, and BH30 was supplied by M.O.W. A longitudinal section and two maps are appended to this report showing the geology of the canal line. (auth)
