Farmer, R.T.; McLean, J.D.; Mansergh, G.D.; Read, S.A.L. 1975 Southern Canterbury Catchment Board - proposed Tengawai, Opihi and Opuha dams. Preliminary geological report. Lower Hutt: New Zealand Geological Survey. New Zealand Geological Survey report EG 212 16 p.

Abstract: A geological appraisal of three possible dam sites in the Fairlie region was requested by the South Canterbury Catchment Board. The proposed dams are to provide water storage on the Tengawai, Opihi and Opuha rivers in order that irrigation and water demands can be met in areas downstream of the dams. The three proposed damsites discussed in this report are those given in Fancourt (1973). Their locations are given in figure 1. (auth)
