Abstract: In 2013, 41 absolute gravity survey marks were established in Northland and the Coromandel Peninsula as part of a project to update the New Zealand Primary Gravity Network. The gravity surveys were tied to existing survey marks that are part of the gravity benchmark network. Observations were made with the GNS Science Lacoste and Romberg G-106 gravity meter, and reduced with the GNS Science in-house gravity reduction programs. Gravity values listed are tide corrected absolute gravity, relative to the New Zealand Potsdam 1959 system, which is converted to I.G.S.N.71 absolute gravity by subtracting 15.21 mgal (152.1 uN/kg) from calculated gravity listed for each survey mark.(auth)
