Abstract: Funded by a QuakeCORE seeding grant, this workshop represents the first step in a process to transcend the boundary between engineering and social sciences in earthquake resilience research and practice. The workshop was organised for engineers and health professionals to begin a high-level dialogue on what causes injury and death during earthquakes, and what measures can be taken to reduce the risk of harm.
