Macdonald, W.J.P. 1975 Upper Clutha power development resistivity surveys at sites U.C. 6, 7, and 8. [s.l.]: [s.n.]. Report / Geophysics Division 114 9 p.
Abstract: Three hydro-electric dam sites in the Upper Clutha Valley (U.C. 6, 7 and 8) have been investigated by resistivity methods. A total of 43 soundings with a maximum spacing of about 300 m were measured. The results indicate that in the areas investigated the Clutha River is perched. The general water table probably coincides with the upper surface of a thick layer of fine grained material, at depths of some tens of metres; this layer seems to be extensive and should have low permeability (auth.)
