Macdonald, W.J.P. 1967 A resistivity survey of the Taupo-Waiotapu area at fixed spacing (1,800 ft). [s.l.]: [s.n.]. Report / Geophysics Division 46 5p.

Abstract: This report presents a contour map of the apparent electrical resistivities of the area between Taupo in the south and Waiotapu in the north as measured by a Wenner electrode system with electrode separation of 1800 ft. As drilling progresses it is becoming clear that the original (Banwell and Macdonald, 1965) hypothesis, that low resistivity values in this region indicate areas where subsurface temperatures are above normal, is correct.
