Abstract: During an 18-day period during February 2004 a team from the Institute of Geological & Nuclear Sciences (GNS) and Otago University Survey Department (OUSD) measured a Global Positioning System (GPS) network through the top of the South Island. This “TOPS2004” campaign was intended to fully repeat the observations made in a February 1999 campaign and to repeat the observations made at seven stations newly established during an Arthurs Pass campaign in February 2002. This report documents the survey, describing the logistics of the campaign, the sites occupied and the data collected. (auth)
