Abstract: This report presents data collected in January 1984 during the second resurvey of the Lake Rotomahana Strain Monitoring Pattern which straddles the 1886 Tarawera Rift. Unadjusted data from horizontal angle observations and distance measurements are presented along with adjustments of these data. An analysis for strain using these data and data from earlier surveys suggests crustal extension perpendicular to the 1886 Tarawera Rift could be occurring. (auth)
