Scott, B.J. 1986 The January 1985 survey of the Lake Rotomahana horizontal deformation pattern. Lower Hutt: New Zealand Geological Survey. New Zealand Geological Survey report EDS 106 29 p.
Abstract: The Lake Rotomahana horizontal deformation pattern was established in February / March 1983 to monitor current deformation about the 1886 Tarawera Rift System. The pattern was surveyed in January 1985 utilizing triangulation and trilateration techniques. Adjustment of the direction and distance data individually indicated large residuals on one direction and one distance resulting in their rejection from the data set. Standard errors are estimated to be 1.0" for direction observations, +/- 2.0 mm +/-0.8 ppm for distance measurements (auth)
