Abstract

This map poster shows a detailed view of the lake floor bathymetry In Lake Rotoehu at a scale of 1:12,500. There are also three smaller maps detailing free air gravity, total magnetic intensity and DC resistivity over the lake. The map shows the lake floor to largely be flat and shallow, with a maximum depth recorded of 15.9 m. The gravity data suggest the basement greywacke is dipping under the lake, while the magnetic data demarcate paleo channels in the north with a large negative anomaly in the southwest. DC resistivity is extrapolated across the lake from measurements made around the lake. This 612 mm by 600 mm sized map is the sixth in the Rotorua Lakes Map Series.
