Abstract: During 1966 spring temperatures increased at the A.C. and Kathleen Springs by some 6 and 15degC respectively. A one metre temperature survey in 1967 of the Taupo Golf Course, adjacent to these springs, showed an increase of 17, 000 square metres of ground above ambient temperature since December, 1965. It is thought that these increases are caused by an increased steam flow into the shallow water table of the area (auth.)
